It is completely normal to experience low moods from time to time. We all go through moments when life feels too much to handle. In fact, no one is immune to having moments when they feel off or not quite themselves. Even someone like myself who works with anxiety for a living!
These temporary lows don’t mean you have failed or are falling behind. It’s part of being human to have ups and downs in your emotional state. Even though I make it my job to shift mindsets… I still experience difficult times and low moods.
The key is to not expect perfection from ourselves. Low moods are just part of the emotional ebb and flow we all experience. They don’t last forever, and they are not something to be ashamed of. It’s important to approach these moments with understanding and allow yourself to feel what you’re feeling without judgment. Repressing our emotions or being self critical, only makes the situation worse.
Ask yourself…
What am I believing right now that is causing my low mood?
Is it helpful for me to think this way?
What will be the consequences of continuing to think this way?
If you find that these feelings of anxiety or low moods are becoming more persistent and begin to interfere with your life, it’s a sign that you may need some extra support. When anxiety or depression starts to feel debilitating, they can prevent you from enjoying the moments that matter most and moving forward with the things you care about.
Remember, anxiety in these moments is a signal, that something within needs attention. The beautiful thing is that you don’t have to stay stuck in these patterns. With the right tools, you can break free from the grip of chronic anxiety and move forward in a way that feels more aligned with who you really are.
When anxiety becomes overwhelming, it’s not a sign of weakness or failure. It’s simply an opportunity to address the underlying patterns and beliefs that may have been built up over time. Those patterns and beliefs are not your fault, but were programmed in by events and circumstances in your past. But…
What can be programmed in… can be programmed out!
It is possible to reprogram those limiting beliefs and release anxiety’s hold, allowing you to feel lighter, more present, and more in control.
Above all, be kind to yourself. Everyone experiences tough times, and occasional low moods are part of life. What matters most is how you respond, and if you’re struggling with anxiety that’s making it hard to move forward, help is available, and it’s okay to ask for it.
You are worthy of feeling at ease, and I’m here to help you every step of the way.
